If you want motivation to attend two classes a week, try a semi-private class with a friend to get started on toning your bodies.   You will share the excitement of seeing your body shape change and gain core control, flexibility and strength.
The Studio always provides take home exercises at the Initial Consultation so you can tone up and improve your flexibility faster. Work out programs are based on your fitness as Pilates Studio training has a syllabus which graduates from Beginners, to Intermediate and Advanced exercises which your teacher will move you through after assessing your progress.  Once you see and feel the difference Pilates can make you will be hooked for life.  I have been doing Pilates for 22 years and never tire of the work as its always challenging, interesting and successful with most of the people I teach.  

It is not always possible for every new client to reach the Advanced Level unless they have been attending the Studio 2-3 times a week for at least 2 years, but the accomplishment you feel when you get there is very rewarding.    ]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Joseph Pilates developed a comprehensive method of stretching and strengthening exercises that together aim to create a strong and limber body as well as a strong will of mind that can control the body.   They are: </p>
<p><strong>Centering, Concentration, Control, Precision, Breath and Flow.</strong></p>
<p>Pilates at Newport has been in operation for nine years and the owner of the Studio, Gloria Scott has a Dip.of Professional Pilates Practice and a Dip. of Sports Therapies plus a full membership of Pilates Alliance Australasia and is one of twenty-two registered Pilates Alliance Studios in Australia.</p>
<p>Studio classes on Pilates equipment are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday morning from 7.30am until 11.30am and afternoon sessions commence at 2.30pm until 8.30pm.  Each client has their individual work out depending on their level of fitness, flexibility and strength.  Some of the conditions we can help you with are Pre &amp; Post Pregnancy, Scoliosis, Whip Lash, Core Strength, Parkinson&#8217;s, Osteoporosis and Arthritis.</p>
<p>Mat classes are executed with small equipment such as the Magic Circle, Foam Rollers, arm and leg weights, theraband and fitness balls.  If you wish to be proficient at Pilates Mat classes it is important to be in a class with only 6-8 students as each exercise is usually 10 repetitions which then allows the teacher  time to correct clients.</p>
